Avril Lavigne Announces ‘Greatest Hits’ Album to Accompany Her Tour
Avril Lavigne has announced that she will be releasing her first Greatest Hits album on June 21st. The album will feature songs from all over her seven studio albums, and fans can expect the same for her live performances during the tour, which kicked off on May 22nd in Canada.
The Greatest Hits Album
The tour itself will also be about her greatest hits. Avril Lavigne announced the album on Instagram, saying there couldn’t be a greatest hits tour without a greatest hits album. It will have 20 tracks and is already available for pre-order.
In addition to the tour and album, Lavigne is also releasing expanded editions of four of her studio albums on vinyl, and lucky fans will get copies of bonus tracks that used to be digital-only. The albums being released are Under My Skin, Best D*mn Thing, Goodbye Lullaby, and Avril Lavigne.
The Tour Has Kicked Off
Lavigne announced her tour in January this year, again on social media, and pointed out that she will be going on the road with bands like Simple Plan, Girlfriends, All Time Low, and Royal & the Serpent. These bands are all well-known to her fans and will be the opening acts before the main event. Lavigne was definitely excited, as she wrote that she was looking forward to having fun and celebrating her career with her friends and fans.
As a Canadian, Avril Lavigne started her tour in Vancouver on May 22nd. She’ll also go around the United States with stops in cities like Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Nashville, Chicago, Phoenix, and Charlotte. The tour is planned to end on September 18th in Calgary, Canada.
