Taylor Swift Fans Recreated the Eras Tour Stage With Gingerbread Kits
Building gingerbread houses is a Christmas tradition, but long gone are the days when your only option is building a normal house. Why not recreate Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour stage instead? Videos of Swifties using their gingerbread house kits to recreate the iconic stage went viral on TikTok. If you already miss the tour, you’ll fall in love with the idea.
Recreating the Eras Tour
“Eras Tour Stadium Gingerbread House” was recently a very hot topic on TikTok, with videos gaining millions of views. The process of building the stadium involved cutting out the shape of the cookies and creating the shape of the stage. Then, fans colored it with the frosting and used the sprinkles as lights. Even Taylor herself “joined in,” recreated from a gingerbread man cookie with hair and outfits made out of frosting.
Other Swifties decided to buy a $13 holiday stadium gingerbread house kit and recreate their own version of the concert. Instead of building a football stadium, the idea was to bring back the iconic “Anti-Hero” stage in the middle.
The Success of the Tour
The Eras Tour started in March of 2023 and was definitely one of, if not the biggest, tours of the year. It was wrapped up in Argentina and Brazil in November, but it will continue in 2024. For those who couldn’t get enough, Taylor also released a film called Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour. The success was huge, with total sales of around $92.8 million.
The film also became the highest-grossing concert film of all time, surpassing Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never and its $73 million. It was also number one at the box office in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Mexico, Australia, Germany, and the Philippines. Safe to say, this was Taylor’s era for sure!
