Grimes Is Suing Elon Musk Over Their Three Children
Grimes and Elon Musk apparently aren’t a couple anymore. Not only that, but the singer has also started legal action against her ex-partner over the parental rights of their three children. The two are currently co-parenting X Æ A-Xii, Exa Dark Sideræl, and Techno Mechanicus.
Grimes and Elon Musk’s Parental Relationship
Singer Grimes, whose real name is Claire Boucher, has filed a “petition to establish parental relationship.” This is what sometimes needs to be done when the two parents aren’t married. Details of the case have not been announced yet.
The complicated situation was publicly revealed when Grimes took to Twitter/X, posting a bunch of tweets demanding to be able to see her son. She also called out Shivon Zilis, the mother of Elon Musk’s twins. She stated she wanted Shivon to unblock her and for Musk to let her see her son or respond to her lawyer. No one even knew Grimes and Musk had a third child until someone reviewed a biography about Musk for The New York Times.
The Couple’s Children
Elon Musk and Grimes started dating in May 2018. Their firstborn X Æ A-12 came into the world in 2020, and their second child was born in December 2021. They used a surrogate for their first daughter who is named Exa Dark Sideræl Musk or ‘Y’ as a nickname.
The birth of their third son was announced by journalist Jennifer Szalai when she wrote that the existence of Techno Mechanicus, also known as Tau, was kept private. Elon Musk shares children with three different women, Tau being his tenth child.
