Madonna Joined Onstage by Five of Her Kids at the Celebration Tour Launch in London
Madonna’s Celebration Tour started in London at the O2 Arena in October, and the pop star was joined by five of her children: her daughters Lourdes, 27, and Mercy, 17, twins Stella and Estere, 11, and son David, 18. They all came on the stage while their mom was performing, and it was definitely a heartwarming moment for fans to witness.
Madonna’s Celebration Tour Special Moment
At the opening show, Madonna performed for two hours, and all the songs she chose represented all 40 years of her career. While she was performing, five of her now-grown kids came up on stage and started dancing and playing instruments.
The night was made extra special by the fact that it was Lourdes’ 27th birthday, so the audience sang “Little Star” in her honor. Her daughter Mercy also played piano during her performance of “Bad Girl.”
The Singer’s Family Life
There was even a moment when the singer and her daughter Lourdes referenced the underground ballroom scene from the “Vogue” music video. The two sat on stage and played judges for the 11-year-old Estere, who danced to the iconic track. Of course, she scored 10s across the board. Stella appeared on stage during “Don’t Tell Me,” and David joined for “Let’s Go Crazy.” He even showed off his guitar skills and played during “Mother and Father.”
It’s no surprise to anyone that Madonna is an extremely proud and loving mother and often posts photos and videos of her children on Instagram. In 2017, she shared more about her family life at home and her adoption journey. She said she had always wanted to have a big family dancing around the kitchen but also admitted that raising six children wasn’t always easy. She commented that motherhood had been, in fact, the most difficult battle in her life.
