Fashionistas everywhere are often glued to their TV sets to watch their favorite TV characters and see what they’re wearing. Many characters will start their own fashion trends, while others will wear outfits that are just ridiculous but still make quite an impact. Here are five TV style icons that we all still love.

Absolutely Fabulous and Blossom

Most Gen Xs will remember Absolutely Fabulous, as it depicted the friendship of two aging characters attempting to stay young. Some of the outfits that were worn by the two TV characters bordered on ridiculous, like the outfits worn by the character Patsy, which were in tune with the timeline but just for younger women. This hilarious sitcom is a must-watch for the millennials of today.

Blossom depicts the fashion of the 90s and aired for five years. The main character, Blossom, often wore iconic outfits topped with a floppy hat. This show portrayed the lives of youngsters growing up in a family with a divorced father. Their clothing was often a playful mix of designs, colors, and patterns that complemented each other.

Charlie’s Angels and The Cosby Show

Farrah Fawcett, Jaclyn Smith, and Kate Jackson all sported sweeping hair and flawless makeup in the original Charlie’s Angels. Their outfits were comfortable and casual so the three leading ladies could save the world in style.

The Cosby Show was a must-watch for families everywhere. The show hit on topics that were unheard of in that era, such as young marriages, the trials and tribulations of young girls growing up, how their parents dealt with their hormonal changes, and more. The leading young character was played by Lisa Bonet, whose fashion sense tended to lean more towards the Boho style. This involved layering and material that was both colorful and flowy.

Bridgerton Lads and Ladies

Last but not least, Bridgerton is full of lavish gowns and fabulous materials, patterns, and designs. Kate, Penelope, and Daphne in particular pulled off styles can be seen in fashion today but have a twist to them. Let’s not forget the costumes of the leading men, who all looked dashing in their high-neck shirts and bold vests.

No matter what fashion style people prefer, there’s a TV series out there for them that can give them some great inspiration the next time they go shopping.
