A Woman Complained about Continuing Contractions Seven Weeks After Giving Birth
Every woman’s journey to becoming a mom is one-of-a-kind. There are those who find themselves expecting a baby without any prior plans, while others strive and invest enormous time – sometimes months, or even years – putting in all their efforts to embrace the delightful experience of motherhood.
Sarah LaFleur is a woman whose journey to motherhood took many years. She poured all her efforts into trying to conceive and keep her precious baby. And eventually, all her hopes came true—and even more than she had bargained for! Just seven short weeks after welcoming her first child into the world, her life took a sudden, exciting turn when she started to have contractions again!
Working Woman
Even before she thought about motherhood, Sarah LaFleur was achieving great success in her business career—it demanded much of her time. After earning her degree from Harvard, she lent her expertise to several companies as a management consultant. However, she later decided on a career shift, although remaining successful in every endeavour.
She used to work for Starwood Capital’s luxury goods group, located in both New York and Paris, but this was merely a stepping stone on her path to greater achievements. LaFleur had big ambitions and she was convinced that she was talented enough to build a business from the ground up. So, she took bold strides towards her dreams – which is exactly what she did! The stepping stone had served its purpose, launching her toward the fulfillment of her dreams. The same dreams that she believed strongly in, with the firm conviction that her skills were more than enough to establish her own business.
Starting a Business
Unhappy with the limited choices in workwear for women, LaFleur went ahead and started her own business in 2013. She envisaged a different approach. Her mission was to create a brand focused on women’s fashion and this idea evolved into what is now known as M.M.LaFleur.
Sarah teamed up with Narie Foster, and together they discovered an ideal collaborator in Miyako Nakamura, who used to be the head designer for Zac Posen. Miyako joined the team as the creative director of the brand and that was the defining moment that triggered the upward trajectory of M.M.LaFleur in the fashion industry.
Finding Inspiration
When she was a little girl, Sarah loved to watch her mom get ready for her job. Dressed in perfectly fitted French suits and daring red lipstick, her mom looked like she could rule the world. That’s exactly how Sarah wanted to feel when she grew up.
“She openly admitted on her official site, feeling out of place and not very confident in her poorly made, unsuitable clothing. She decided that it was high time to make a switch. She committed to banish bad-fitting suits from her wardrobe and develop a series of gorgeous, yet professional dresses.”
Perfect Match
Sarah LaFleur is a woman who has achieved great success in business, and she’s lucky enough to have a partner who shares the same level of energy and ambition. Her spouse, Chris Schonberger, has forged his own path to accomplishment, serving as a producer for a number of shows that you may have likely seen on YouTube.
The YouTube program, Hot Ones is his best-known venture amongst all, and it is run by his close pal, Sean Evans. The show revolves around a simple yet unique concept: while famous people are interviewed, they have to eat hot wings that are incredibly spicy. The reactions are truly funny to watch!
